Fee and Payments
Essentially You Counseling & Consulting Services is currently accepting virtual appointments for private pay, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare/Optum, and Cigna/Evernorth clients. Aetna is also accepted through Headway. Insurance coverage may only be used for individual therapy sessions. I am only accepting private pay for couples and family sessions.
As part of our counseling process, we kindly request our clients to verify their insurance plan benefits to understand their coverage for our services. Additionally, we would like to remind all clients that co-pays are due at the time the service is rendered, and we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience during your sessions.
Private Pay Clients
You may seek reimbursement from your respective insurance plan for which you have coverage if you have out-of-network benefits. It is your responsibility to contact your insurance plan to determine if services are reimbursable and learn about the claims process. You will be provided with a superbill to submit to your insurance company if applicable. Payments are due at the time services are rendered. Acceptable methods of payment are debit/credit cards.

Good Faith Estimates
According to federal law, The No Surprises Act states that individuals have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This information is important for individuals who do not have insurance or plan to self-pay for services. A 48-hour notice is required for cancellations. Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to change or cancel your appointment. You will be charged a $75 late cancellation fee if you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice. If you fail to cancel your appointment within 48 hours, and you simply no-call/no-show, you will be charged the full amount of the service you were scheduled for. Please be aware that these expenses would be billed to you directly and are not covered by insurance.
